About CGIE

CGIE is the first permanent physical presence of the University of Texas at Austin abroad and comes with the responsibility both to link up with institutions in Mexico and integrate these relationships with a wider global network of knowledge and best practices.

The Center for Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship started operations in September of 2010 in the PIIT (Research and Technological Innovation Park) in Apodaca, Nuevo León.

The building will be the permanent home of the center, having facilities to provide Masters programs, seminars and conferences and space to house researchers as well as for activities such as the incubation of technology-based companies and the support of technology transfer and commercialization institutions.
